JACKSON, Tenn. – Robin Chance has joined the City of Jackson’s Health and Sanitation Department as the new Recycling Coordinator.

“I’m excited to be a part of Health and Sanitation and working with the city on their recycling initiatives,” said Robin Chance. “I look forward to using my extensive knowledge of recycling in the Jackson area to develop a program to promote a more sustainable city.”

As coordinator, Chance will assist in monitoring recycling trends, new technology, rules and regulations regarding recycling; will provide communication and recycling education to residents and other departments involved in the program, resolutions for concerns, search for possible grants; will present recycling data and help set standers for effective practices.

“We are thrilled to have Robin on board with Health and Sanitation as Recycling Coordinator,” said Leilani Mills, Director of Health and Sanitation. “With changing trends and technology in this industry, having a coordinator would benefit in implementing a successful program.”

“Recycling is a major topic among our city residents,” said Mayor Scott Conger. “I believe that Robin will be an asset to the department regarding our city’s recycling needs.”

Chance will step down as Chair of Keep Jackson Beautiful but will still serve as Coordinator with the board.
