The Tree of Warmth returns to The Ned
Posted on 12/03/2025

JACKSON, Tenn. — With temperatures turning colder, the Ned is once again accepting donations for the Tree of Warmth.

Donations of hats, gloves, socks, and scarves are welcome throughout the winter starting December 3rd. Anyone can bring donations to the Ned offices during regular business hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

“The tradition started about nine years ago as a way to help community members in need keep warm during the winter months,” said David McCall, Executive Director of The Ned McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center. “Since then, the Jackson community has given generously to keep the tree stocked with donations.”

The Tree of Warmth is located downtown in front of the Old City Hall, 314 E. Main St., Jackson, TN 38301. To coordinate donation drop-offs, please contact Jordan Alexander at [email protected] or call (731) 425-8395.
