City of Jackson, TN Police Department Command Staff

The command staff is comprised of the Chief of Police Thom Corley, Deputy Chief Derick Tisdale, Major Phillip Kemper, Captain Gary Benton, Captain Jeff Shepard, Captain Robert Gambill, Captain JT Gause, Captain Jackie Benton, Captain Justin Harris

The Command Staff is tasked with the daily operations of the Jackson Police Department. All members of the Command Staff have obtained the rank of Captain or above. All members are Commanders of their own respective Divisions within the Department.

The Command Staff meets on a regular basis to discuss matters important to the function of the Police Department. These include budgets, operating procedures, training, and rules and regulations governing the department, . The Command Staff also ensures that the Police Department is functioning at the highest levels possible and that the department is providing the citizens of Jackson with the best service possible.
