Posted on 06/03/2023

JACKSON, Tenn. - The City of Jackson is partnering with the Children’s Entrepreneur Market to host a special event on June 3, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the West Tennessee Farmers’ Market.

This exciting event provides a unique opportunity for young business owners age 5-16 to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and gain invaluable experience in delivering sales pitches, conducting transactions, and polishing their customer service.

"We are thrilled to host the Children's Entrepreneur Market event,” said Farmer’s Market Director, Bruce Bond. “It's a wonderful opportunity for children to showcase their entrepreneurial skills and learn about running a business in a fun and safe environment."

The Children’s Entrepreneur Market program aims to create a safe, fun, and authentic environment for budding entrepreneurs to start and grow their own businesses. Since its launch in 2017, this initiative has allowed children to explore business and life skills in an innovative and organic way, where the power of hard work and innovation is creatively realized. Children will be able to sell just about anything, from lemonade stands to lawn mowing services, and it's free for the public to attend.

Parents or guardians of kid entrepreneurs who wish to participate can register by selecting the “Children’s Entrepreneur Market Registration” button at www.connect.jacksontn.gov.
